Dhaka, July 16, 2026: Emerging Credit Rating Limited (ECRL) successfully organized a seminar today titled “Reforming the financial architecture for economic growth: It is time to shift from Bank to market and bond-based financing.”
The event, held at the Head Office of Emerging Credit Rating Limited, focused on the urgent need for Bangladesh to transition from a bank-dependent economy to a more robust, market-driven financial structure.
The seminar was graced by Mr. Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury as the Chief Guest.
Mr. Chowdhury is the former Finance Secretary of Bangladesh, served as the 12th Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), and is the former chairman of Sonali Bank.
Dr. Jamaluddin Ahmed, FCA, Director of Emerging Credit Rating Limited, alongside his expert team, served as the Presenter for the keynote paper.
The presentation highlighted the strategic importance of developing a vibrant bond market to support long-term sustainable economic development and reduce the current over-reliance on traditional banking loans.
The event was hosted and moderated by Mr. Arifur Rahman, FCCA, FCA, CSAA, the CEO of Emerging Credit Rating Limited.
